The Cessna Service Manual states the following under Section 5-7, Step Bracket Replacement, "The step bracket is secured to the landing gear strut with Conley-Weld, or a similar epoxy adhesive."

Formulated to bond most materials: iron, steel, aluminum, bronze, brass, wood, stone, concrete, brick, tile, glass, procelain, rubber, fiberglass, and most plastics.

NOTHING EASIER TO MEASURE OR MIX

Thoroughly mix visually equal amounts of C-1 and C-2, then coat each surface of parts to be bonded, making sure to work adhesive into the grain of the surface. Sand or roughen surfaces and clean with any good degreasing solvent for positive, lasting bond. Light clamping is recommended to keep parts in position during cure. After adhesive has stiffened (15-20 minutes), a smooth surface may be obtained by wetting finger in water and smoothing. Allow 24 hours at room temperature for adhesive to chemically cure before applying weight or strain. Oven or heat lamp will affect quicker cure, if desired.

Cold temperatures tend to thicken CONLEY-WELD, but do not impair its quality. For easy mixing, store at room temperature.

CONLEY-WELD is waterproof and resitant to dilute acids and alkalis. Many uses are suggested here - every user will find new applications. CONLEY-WELD is harmless. It is not flammable and will not explode.
