Typical applications include Shipboard Group II Piping Systems, seawater cooling systems, ballast water piping systems, fresh water piping systems, sanitary/drains/scuppers piping systems, vents/sounding piping systems, miscellaneous produced water (oil production) piping systems, fire water systems, fire deluge systems, and general marine piping for ship board and offshore piping systems.

Conley Schedule 90M and 90MC Pipe and Fittings for marine applications have passed the fire endurance tests with:

  • Schedule 90M Pipe and Fittings from 1" through 20" NPS
  • Schedule 90MC Conductive Pipe and Fittings from 1" through 20" NPS
  • Series 90MX with low flame spread and smoke & toxicity for USCG requirements
  • All Series 90 Piping Systems are soon the become Type Approved (ABS pending)

Intended Uses:

  • Marine applications regulated by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LR), U.S. Coast Guard, and Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
  • Industrial applications in flammable areas, such as refineries
  • Firewater and Deluge piping systems
  • Potable water systems

Ratings:

  • Internal pressure ratings 150, 225, or 250 psi with temperatures to 235° F
  • Full vacuum external pressure minimum
  • 90MC Conductive series resistance to earth not to exceed 1 x 106 Ohm
  • 90MX products meet the criteria for low flame spread and smoke & toxicity
  • All fire endurance testing by Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas

All Series 90M/MC Piping Systems may be used in L3 Wet/Dry Fire Endurance for Fire Mains and Deluge systems within the limitations of PFM 1-98 & the IMO Res A.753(18).

Vents/Sounding

Fire mains and deluge systems for Marine and Offshore Installations per USCG PFM 1-98 or other applications that require IMO A.753(18) Level 3 or LEvel 3 Wet/Dry (L3 W/D) fire endurance rating or less.

To be installed according to DNV Rules and Manufacturers Specification. Schedule 90M Piping system is non-conductive, not for installation in gas hazardous area. Schedule 90MC is approved as conductive for installation in gas hazardous area. Piping system is approved to Fire Endurance Level 3 (L3), according to IMO A.753(18), and Low Flame Spread according to ASTM D635.
